Pottery & Sculpture
Peggee Davis
After receiving art degrees in Connecticut, Toronto and doing graduate work at the
Ontario Institute for the Studies in Education, I taught ceramics, apprenticed with a
potter, worked in arts development–and then put it away while raising two children
and pursuing a career in youth development.
Thirty-three years later, I converted the garage into a studio and began throwing
pots again. Work evolved to focus on stoneware and mixed media sculpture with a
concentration on representations of women and the use of different media and
textures to portray aspects of femininity.
